Steps Together takes the Stage at Houses of Parliament

A Night of Advocacy and Insight

Last month, Steps Together CEO Darren Rolfe and Deputy CEO Steve Jones had the honour of attending a prestigious dinner event at the Houses of Parliament, alongside key figures in the healthcare and political spheres. The event, which focused on the critical issues of addiction and mental health treatment, provided a platform for engaging discussions and the sharing of valuable insights.

The evening brought together a diverse group of attendees, including: MP Dan Carden, A vocal advocate for improved mental health services. Melissa Rice, a leading figure in addiction recovery and support. Recovery Plus UKESAD Deidre Boyd, a champion for evidence-based addiction treatment. We were also joined by good friends Michael Rawlinson, Liz Martin, The Mayfair GP and many other special attendees.

The discussions centered on the pressing need for improved access to private mental health and addiction treatment services. Attendees shared their expertise and experiences, fostering a collaborative environment where solutions and strategies could be explored. The insights gleaned from these conversations will be invaluable as Steps Together continues its advocacy work.

Darren Rolfe, CEO and Founder of Steps Together

‘It was an honour to be part of such a dynamic and insightful event, the discussions highlighted the urgency of addressing the challenges facing mental health and addiction treatment, and we are committed to working with our partners to drive positive change.’

The event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all those who participated. Steps Together is grateful for the support and collaboration of all attendees and looks forward to building upon the momentum generated at the Houses of Parliament. The organisation remains dedicated to advocating for improved private mental health and addiction treatment services, ensuring that individuals in need have access to the care they deserve.
