Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022
Many communities across the UK celebrated the special extended bank holiday this June 2022, with a whole four days of celebrations! To honour this historic milestone at Steps Together, many of our clients and staff members celebrated with royal afternoon teas, public events and community activities in the local areas of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and the North West. Wherever you were in the UK, it was definitely one to remember!
Bank House & George House
Steps Together at Bank House Nottinghamshire celebrated with a Jubilee themed afternoon tea for all their clients and team members, and also joined the clients from Elizabeth House who attended ‘Picnic in the Park at Yeoman Hill Park’ in Mansfield Woodhouse.
The Chestnuts
The Chestnuts in Leicestershire celebrated with a royal themed afternoon tea on Friday 3rd June 2022, with plenty of tea and cakes to go around! A local brownie group from Oadby in Leicester kindly prepared the facility with a Platinum Jubilee themed bunting, which was displayed proudly around the building.

Elizabeth House
The whole team from Elizabeth House attended ‘Picnic in the Park at Yeoman Hill Park’ which offered an afternoon of live music, refreshments and cakes/buns in plentiful supply. The event was bought to Mansfield Woodhouse by MWCDG, Mansfield District Corps of Drums, The Scouts, with assistance from District and County Councillors and Morrisons.
