Mental Health Support

At Steps Together Group, we provide personalised mental health treatment in a safe, confidential, and clinically supported environment. Our care is led by Consultant Psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team, focusing on assessment, stabilisation, and long-term psychological wellbeing.

Understanding Mental Health

Mental health challenges can affect anyone, often developing gradually or emerging during periods of stress, change, or underlying vulnerability.

They may present as low mood, anxiety, overwhelm, difficulty coping, changes in behaviour, or a sense of losing emotional balance. In some cases, symptoms may indicate an underlying diagnosed mental health condition requiring structured clinical support.

Seeking support early can make a significant difference to recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Our Mental Health Services

Mental Health Triage

A specialist triage is an initial assessment carried out by a qualified mental health nurse practitioner. Assessments typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour and can be conducted face-to-face or digitally.

Non-Residential Treatment

Conducted by a Consultant Psychiatrist to identify, assess, and
diagnose a wide range of mental health conditions. In-depth
assessments typically take 1.5 to 2 hours, best completed face-to-face.

Our Approach

Our model at Steps Together combines clinical expertise with therapeutic depth.

Consultant-Led Psychiatric Input

All care is overseen by experienced Consultant Psychiatrists who lead clinical decision-making and treatment planning throughout your care journey.

One-to-One Psychological Therapy

Individual therapeutic sessions tailored to your needs, including evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Structured Group Therapy

Where appropriate, structured group therapy provides peer support, shared experience, and skills-building within a clinically facilitated setting.

Neurodiversity-Informed Support

Specialist support for ADHD-related challenges including emotional regulation, focus, and executive functioning, delivered by trained professionals.

Trauma-Informed Approaches

Evidence-based therapeutic methods ensure that care for trauma and complex presentations is sensitive, structured, and clinically effective.

Ongoing Review & Adjustment

Regular monitoring and care plan adjustment ensures treatment remains aligned with your progress, goals, and changing clinical needs.

Treatment Pathways

Our mental health services are delivered primarily on an outpatient basis, allowing individuals to receive structured support while continuing daily life. All pathways are determined following clinicalassessment.

◌ Outpatient

Outpatient Mental Health Support

Standard pathway for anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, emotional distress, and diagnosed mental health conditions requiring ongoing support.

◌ Residential

Residential Treatment

Residential care is not part of standalone mental health treatment. It is only recommended where addiction is the primary presenting issue requiring detoxification or 24/7 clinical stabilisation.

Addiction-related care only — assessed and recommended by the clinical team where appropriate.

◌ Inpatient Programme

Inpatient Burnout & Stress Programme

For individuals experiencing severe burnout or emotional exhaustion, we offer a dedicated inpatient programme focused on recovery and restoration. This sits outside of standard mental health outpatient care.

Separate pathway — assessed independently from standard mental health treatment.

What to Expect

From the first point of contact, we aim to provide clarity and reassurance. Clients are supported at every stage, with a focus on safety, dignity, and long-term outcomes.

Initial consultation

A confidential discussion to understand your needs, concerns, and goals. Our team listens carefully and helps determine the most appropriate next steps.

Mental Health Triage

Early clinical screening and assessment conducted by a qualified mental health nurse practitioner, including medical screening, risk evaluation, and early identification of symptoms.

Psychiatry Assessment

In-depth diagnostic evaluation with a Consultant Psychiatrist where appropriate, ensuring accurate diagnosis and a clear clinical picture before treatment begins.

Personalised care plan

Tailored treatment recommendations developed collaboratively with you, ensuring your care aligns with your needs, preferences, and clinical requirements.

Progress reviews

Structured outpatient psychological care including individual therapy, group sessions where appropriate, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Ongoing aftercare

Regular monitoring, care plan adjustment, and free aftercare for both individuals and family members — supporting long-term stability and wellbeing.

Who This Is For

Our mental health services are suitable for a wide range of individuals and families seeking structured, clinical support.

Those experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional distress, ADHD-related challenges, or living with a diagnosed mental health condition requiring ongoing support. Suitable for those seeking discreet, structured psychiatric and therapeutic care.

Professionals

Individuals in high-pressure roles who are experiencing burnout, performance anxiety, stress, or early signs of mental health challenges — seeking confidential, expert assessment and treatment.

Those Close to Loved Ones

Families and partners who are concerned about a loved one and seeking assessment, clarity, or guided support in how to help effectively and care for their own wellbeing.

Neurodivergent Individuals

Those experiencing neurodivergent-related challenges such as ADHD impacting focus, emotional regulation, or daily functioning — with neurodiversity-informed assessment and support.
