Counselling in Bangor, and online sessions by Zoom.
Are you struggling with anxiety, general anxiety disorders, depression, feeling sad, social anxiety, stress, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?
My name is Greg Young and I am a fully-qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP providing both short and long-term therapy for adult individuals dealing with anxiety, general anxiety disorder, depression, feeling sad, social anxiety, stress, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I offer counselling face to face in my office in Bangor, and online using Zoom.
Life brings many challenges and the pressure can sometimes be overwhelming. Sometimes you just need to sit and talk with a non-judgemental person who you don’t know. As you talk during our sessions you will feel somehow lighter. As you continue the sessions it becomes easier and easier to let go of negative thoughts you had imagined you would have forever. As a counsellor my role is to provide space and guidance to help you on your journey of self-discovery; to enable you to examine your life and make
new, meaningful choices within it.
I offer you a chance to reflect on the difficulties or problems (PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, depression, social anxiety, feeling sad) you are experiencing in a safe and confidential environment. Together we can explore what's going on with you in a way that leads to fresh perspectives – and perhaps a new understanding of yourself. Counselling isn’t about giving you solutions or advice, but it is about empowering you to make your own changes.
I’m an integrative therapist. My approach to therapy is grounded in person-centred therapy as first theorised and developed by Carl Rogers . This is a non-judgmental way of working, where I endeavour to create the right conditions to help you increase your
self-awareness; to move towards, and reach your fullest potential. However, I also include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness , and I work with Attachment Theory as first developed by John Bowlby.
