Frequently asked questions
What is rehab?
Rehabilitation (rehab) typically refers to a program or facility designed to help individuals recover from addiction, injuries, or other medical conditions. In the context of addiction, rehab programs aim to help individuals stop using drugs or alcohol through a combination of therapy, medical treatment, and lifestyle changes.
How much does rehab cost in the UK?
The cost of rehab in the UK can vary widely depending on the type of facility, the length of stay, and the services provided. Prices can range from £3295.00 to £6995.00 per week for private rehab facilities. Some luxury facilities may charge significantly more.
Is rehab free in the UK?
Yes, there are free rehab options available in the UK through the National Health Service (NHS). However, the availability of free services may vary by location, and there might be long waiting lists. Charities and non-profit organizations also offer free or subsidized rehab programs.
What happens in rehab?
In rehab, patients typically undergo an initial assessment followed by a detoxification process if necessary. This is followed by a structured program of therapy, which may include individual counseling, group therapy, and other activities aimed at recovery and skill-building for a sober life.
Does rehab work?
Rehab can be effective, especially for those who are committed to recovery. The success of rehab varies depending on the individual’s circumstances, the type of addiction, the quality of the program, and the level of support provided during and after the program.
How long is rehab?
The length of time spent in rehab can vary. Common durations include 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days. Some individuals may benefit from longer stays, depending on the severity of their addiction and their recovery progress.
How to get into rehab?
To get into rehab, an individual can start by consulting with a healthcare provider for an assessment and referral. Alternatively, one can directly contact rehab centers to inquire about admission requirements and availability.
How long is drug rehab?
The duration of drug rehab is similar to general rehab durations—typically 7, 14, 21, 28, 42, 56, 70, or 84 days. Some programs may offer shorter or longer stays based on the individual’s needs.
What happens at drug rehab?
Drug rehab usually involves detoxification, followed by structured therapy sessions. These include cognitive-behavioral therapy, counseling, group meetings, and sometimes supplementary activities like yoga or meditation, all aimed at helping individuals overcome their drug addiction.
What does the treatment programme involve?
Our programmes at Steps Together have been carefully designed to ensure clients receive the best possible clinical and therapy care at all times. Our programmes involve both individual and group therapy sessions coupled with presentations, meetings, wellbeing, holistic therapies and aftercare.
We will support and guide our clients by providing the right tools to connect them to the resources they will need for ongoing recovery. No two days will be the same in treatment as we have many different therapy sessions on offer to all our clients. Our therapeutic day will begin at 9am and run through the day to 7pm, Monday to Sunday.
