Dr Aadil Shah

Qualifications: MBBS, MSc, MRCPsych

Dr Shah is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist. His main role is Regional Lead and he offers clinical leadership to a number of services. He has a Medical Degree, a Masters in Psychological Medicine and is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and is on a specialist register with General Medical Council.

As an experienced, dedicated and highly skilled clinician, Dr Shah works closely with the most complex and challenging cases to support people in improving their quality of life.  He is proactive in both research and training, innovative and diligent in his pursuit for the best outcomes. He has got several publications in international peer reviewed journals.

Dr Shah has extensive knowledge and experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health problems, including ADHD, Substance abuse or dependence, Anxiety, Depression, Psychosis, PTSD, OCD, other mood disorders like Bipolar disorder. Dr Shah is an advocate of biopsychosocial model in psychiatry. He apart from using medication also considers psychological therapies and other psychosocial interventions tailored to the needs of an individual.
