Charlotte H – a former client
I was unsure about the 54321 programme while I was in Bank House, but decided to take the opportunity to accept the programme. I have to say that this was the best thing I could have done for myself when leaving Bank House, the scheduled calls were adapted to suit my needs and also my availability. I have found that the calls with Tracie have been amazing, she has guided and supported me with my actions and decisions during the period of transition, from the security of the house to home and day to day living.
The personal therapy I have received has helped me to ensure that I continue on the right path with my recovery. I have had some difficult situations since leaving the house, and Tracie has always been there for me. Sometimes there were things I didn’t want to hear but needed to, questioning my thinking and reminding me to be open minded, and also that it is ok not to be ok at times. I also needed to be reminded that I have had therapy, and that others will catch up with me on my new beginning to life. Tracie has encouraged me to continue to be positive for the future but to remain in the day to sustain my new sobriety.
Tracie has been there when I needed to speak to her or would make time when she didn’t need to. I am truly grateful for the support and amazing care that has been shown in our sessions. It has been great to have someone who knew me from the start of this journey, especially when I found a sponsor to continue my work with AA. I was given wise words to adhere to when leaving, and I have discussed decisions not to going to some meetings if they are not right for me and to find meetings that suit and try different things.
Tracie has helped me through some difficult times when I have been fighting with my own mind on personal matters before deciding what to do. Tracie during these sessions has been the best thing that could have happened, and I truly recommend that everyone leaving Bank House if they can should that up this programme.
