Steps Together is committed to embracing new regulation to safeguard its clients, colleagues, and services. We’re aware of the constantly changing regulatory landscape and stay committed to staying ahead of the curve. Processes have been established to ensure that all new regulations are properly implemented and that its operations are compliant with any new regulations.
Steps Together enjoys strong & collaborative working relationships with its regulators, ensuring we embrace new regulation designed to safeguard our clients and the quality of our services.

Our delivery is informed and designed in line with the expert clinical guidance from the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), The British Medical Association (BMA) and the UK Governments Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC), ensuring that our treatment programmes are aligned to our core values.
Beyond CQC (Care Quality Commision) we remain committed to our other regulatory bodies, which include the Food Standards Agency, Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
Our commitment to these regulatory bodies ensure us:
- Adopt and implement recommended best practice – ensuring our services operate in line with our regulatory obligations.
- Work closely with our local authority Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency to ensure our catering practices and infection control levels remain exceptional, and provide the safest possible environment for our clients and staff
- Work side by side with the Health & Safety Executive to ensure our workplace and environment remain is robust and safe, and responsive to COVID-19 measures outlined by the UK Government
- Monitor closely our obligations via our executive and management team structure, internal reporting and monitoring systems and by way of our quality framework for service delivery across all departments
Our commitment to regulatory compliance begins with our employees. We ensure that all of our employees are properly trained and certified in the areas of safety and quality. We also provide ongoing training and education to our employees to ensure that they are up to date on the latest regulatory requirements.
We ensure that each facility within the Steps Together Group are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. We regularly review our policies and procedures to make sure that they meet or exceed the standards of safety and quality. We also work closely with government regulators to ensure that our services are in compliance with current regulations.
