The addiction recovery process

Our drug and alcohol rehabilitation programmes offer specialist treatment for a range of different addictions, giving you or your loved one the support needed to conquer addiction.

Many of our programmes start with a simple phone call, and our dedicated and caring staff will be available straight away to talk you through your treatment options and encourage you to seek help.

1. INTERVENTION

Coming face to face with addiction can be hard, especially when you can see a loved one is suffering. We offer non-confrontational interventions to help you get through to a loved one who is struggling with drug or alcohol addiction.

These interventions will be carried out by professional members of staff. The aim is to encourage your loved one to seek treatment by showing them how their addiction is negatively affecting them, their friends and their family.

2. DETOX

Once you or your loved one has made the decision to begin treatment for addiction at our facility, there will be an initial detox process. This will rid the body of drugs or alcohol so you are ready to begin the next stages of addiction treatment.

You or your loved one may experience some discomfort during this period. However, our expert staff will provide strict clinical supervision to ensure that the process is safe and you or your loved one feels supported throughout.

3. REHABILITATION

After the detox process is complete, patients are encouraged to participate in a number of therapy sessions, either in one-on-one sessions or group meetings, led by professional therapists.

This will give you or your loved one the opportunity to talk about their experiences in a safe environment that is free of judgement, and learn the ways in which addiction can be controlled after leaving our facility.

SUCCESS STORIES FROM SHEFFIELD PATIENTS

Many of our patients come from Sheffield and the surrounding area to be treated at our facility for drug or alcohol addiction. One of these patients, M. G., completed a rehabilitation programme at our facility.

“I walked in a scared, broken person and walked out confident with tools and coping mechanisms in place ready to begin a new chapter in my life.” They said of their time here at StepsTogether Rehab.

“The nurses and therapists did amazing work with us both on a one to one basis and group therapy and gave us tools each day to cope. I also learnt about mindfulness and meditation as I was addicted to sleeping tablets, I now sleep through the night and wake with positive thoughts.”

“Nobody judges you and all the amazing staff just want to help and support you. I made some wonderful friends, who I know will be lifelong friends, as we started our journey of recovery together.”
